Race week is here for Rex and I as we take on the Scooby Doo Run Series Scoobtober Virtual Run. This is our second race together in as many months completing the Doo Good Virtual Run in September.
Rex has gotten this running thing down, and I’ve become more comfortable running with a dog. I know once every mile or so to let him take a sniff/bathroom break. And, have learned how to look for the clues of his distress.
This is all thanks to the Scooby Doo Run Series, because if it wasn’t for them I would have kept going on runs without the dogs.
If you’ve never done any type of virtual run, I recommend you look into them. They are great tests for bigger challenges/races you have on your calendar. A virtual run is similar to any other run except it can be completed at any location, time, or place of your choosing. All you need to do is sign up for the races, complete the distance during the allotted time frame, and log your miles.
The Scooby-Doo Run Series lets you decide how, when, and where to cover the distance, whether alone or with your very own Mystery Inc. gang of friends, family, or four-legged buddies.
Stay tuned to see if Rex and I set a new PR this weekend.
