  1. Just to continue the thought, I believe it’s the acknowledgment part of it as well. To your point, the courtesy of a response acknowledges that person. Says “I see you, I hear you”. At the end of the day we all just have a primal need to be heard and a simple response quells the soul.

  2. I absolutely agree. I’ve pointed this out to many people before (esp. bloggers and Instagrammers, who expect people to read and follow and NEVER even acknowledge that you are there.
    No, you don’t need to comment on every single post, but if you do it regularly and never get anything back…. don’t be surprised when people unfollow.
